seismic dreams

my dreams
seismic
the sheets and blanket
victims,
trouble doesn't always reveal....
preferring
to remain a puzzle
to put together, an enigma
of rapid eye movements
like rumpled clothing
to be folded
and put away somewhere,
this is the stuff
that metaphor embraces
hugs so tightly
those mysteries of the heart
soul-mazes....
and decoding often comes
with a feeling
of uneasiness and little clarity
but I think maybe this is the way
it's supposed to work
we humans seem to want all
the answers handed to us
explanations
and we often get incredulous
or worse when they don't come
knocking on our door, but
fear not
know that your brain is still engaged
maybe dreams are just reminders
to keep trying,
to be your best self....
be happy...... that you
are a dreamer

Part of life it seems ... brain engaged even in sleep, at times even wrapped in some vague obsession that leads to fitful, interrupted sleep. Strange. Other times I have extended dreams about being in specific places that I may not have been to in waking life, which seems even more strange ...
