I'm at it again
pen and pad in hand
now, if the words would come
just cooperate with me
but, if not this garden brings
much solace
to tired eyes, jumbled brain
this unreliable body
Still, happy though....Truly
for what still works
and for my family and friends
there is only goodness here
among the greenery
and avian neighbors popping in
nothing but peace
and appreciation, I am
a lucky guy....
I used to get nervous when I was alone too much
but now I find comfort
and much less desire for company
It's better this way
don't get me wrong
I love a good conversation,
which is why I often talk to myself

Me too. On all counts. Sometimes inspiration is slow or elusive. Sometimes it hits in torrents. I've been trekking in the woods lately too.
