sometime soon
I plan to fly away
I've been thinking about this
for two years now
I figure if I concentrate
hard enough
I can grow wings
out of the middle of my back
much like a lizard
regenerating a limb
by focusing on it,
appendages should be a snap
it's not a whole leg or anything like that,
and when I go
no mushy goodbyes
just a pat on the back
like you give to an astronaut,
just a Godspeed !

from the tips of your gossamer wings to your toes

as the half of the opened book held in my left hand
is so much thicker than that in my right.......
