it's a ginger tea and crackers kind of morning
an unease permeates the down-below
I read, and wash the dishes, piddle
as a distraction to.. the ...rumbling disorder
out of bed at 4:50 am ....right into the fog
Thursday's malaise offered up as normal
but I have learned pretty well how to fake it
to keep moving until the skies brighten
and the clamps release their early ... grip
on things......you might say this is a very normal day
the frequency should count for something I ... guess.
I can honestly say that I'm going through the motions....
like a trained ape I know how to repeat the routine
when one wakes up to... a ginger tea and crackers morning

ginger tea, stimulant to the senses
things are bound to get more aromatic
and cracker, just the sound of the word brings a smile
