the siren pierced my head
on its way down the street
a flu flu arrow splitting my memory,
I'm alive.....sometimes I forget

sometimes I'm on the outside
a peeping tom peering through the glass
at a grainy sepia of a time lost
I see flashes that I recognize

when I cheated the devil, but now
the card game is stacked with strangers
and the getaway car's gears are rusty
and do not mesh up.....

ergo backfiring

sputtering

I'll need more than just a tweak
more than a poor man's tune-up
the overhaul will mean stripping down
to the bone and a new coating of reimagined flesh

new eyes to see the world

new ears to hear the music

That flute with the mysterious sound
Brings you back home
Then there are the stars of nations
Galaxy Trucker will give you a loan
Don’t hock it all
Because you stalled

Rest in the Peace that this is all about transformation
No matter which direction you fly
Know that -I and many others love you
In whatever condition you appear
There is nothing to fear
Take these wings
And fly into painting
