Studio8 - Uniting the Arts

Seagulls circling the lake
like buzzards looking for lunch,
way the hell up there, specks
like the gray matter I still possess

my head cranes
to watch them disappear,
and I think to myself they are just
exercising their physical and mental prowess

like the joggers and skaters, the walkers below
and I can't help but wonder how many humans
would love to do just that,
fly absurdly high to find that kind of peace

I don't know if there's peace up there,
but I'd sure like to be able to fly that high
to see the hills, to judge for myself.
