so quiet

so quiet...
my footsteps echo through the alleyway

so quiet...
  fluorescent lights humming to themselves

so quiet...
the blood sings in my ears

so quiet...
I hear a single leaf fall

so quiet...
the barred owl fills the night

so quiet...
the house stirs in its sleep

so quiet...
the ghosts of my past whisper to me

so quiet...
  I stop to listen

.

worth listening to.
I'd rather learn from one bird how to sing than teach 10,000 stars how not to dance.

there is quiet
and there is more quiet
the contrast is profound
tween barely a sound
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
