Moving sideways
Where is it I belong
As I get older
The truth is changing
Where I once held strong
Means nothing
I’m a constantly changing
Island
Lapping at everyone else’s shore
Where do I belong
Please help define me

long journeys deep into
advancing age bring new stories
a new awareness
just as true as the old ones
some things remain
others alter a bit and many morph
into new paths
I seem to have changed a great deal
every decade
