Christmas angel

Post by Doreen Peri » December 23rd, 2024, 11:17 pm

Did I make it?
No. I wish!!
Nope, I didn’t make it.

I thought Donna gave it to me, a gift via Etsy,
but she said she doesn’t remember it. Oh well.
I was just asking if it was you who gave it to me.
No, I didn’t make it.

It’s gone, anyway, unfortunately.
I loved that angel doll!
I put her on my tree for years,
sometimes at the top on a cloud of cotton.

All my Christmas decorations are gone.
I pointed to the closet and said
“take everything in there”
and the junk/recycling people
did exactly what I said. Go figure.

I didn’t know what I was doing.
I was giving away my life, I guess.

I lost a lot of things moving. Oh well.
All my albums are gone.
Dylan, Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, Joplin,
A couple hundred originals.
Maybe.

I’m an idiot! Haha

Maybe Denise gave it to me.
Can’t ask her now.
She’s one of the angels.

At least you have a photo
sometimes that's enough
I've been paring down pretty vigorously
less for loved ones to do later
when I join the angels. wait !
hope I'm not going to that other place
oh well, wouldn't change a thing really

nice recollections doreen
merry christmas
is it still P C to wish that ?

all my albums are gone too
I just gave away all my CD's as well
but what joy for the loved ones that got them
they text me all the time about the music
and my heart lights up
knowing they all found a lovely home

happy new year doreen !
peace be with you
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Christmas is pretty low-key up here - it lost its allure during an unhappy turbulent time in my life long ago. But the sunrise has halted its southward retreat, weather's supposed to be nice, and a nice walk somewhere seems appropriate.

Doreen, Steve, to all here at the Studio reading this - may you all find a bit of peace & spirituality over the coming days, and celebrate the holiday in whatever tradition fits you best. May the hunting be good.

Living in the past over here. It’s just me and my cats this year. Here’s a photo from 2019. Merry Christmas, happy holidays to you Steve and Roy… and to all studio8ers …. enjoy your lives and times!
