I believe Art is here
for a unique purpose.....
often disguised in metaphor
like its sister Poetica

and above all else
serves to comfort those
who have been smashed
into little pieces

Art is there I feel
to make you whole again...
so I don't need more stinkin' doctors
Do not take me to no hospital

take me to an art museum
let me wander through the halls
like I was walking through the woods
each discovery a tree of life

most artists I know are healers
that do not require insurance premiums
for others to benefit from their contributions
I thank the stars, because the world is full

of broken people

Yes. Art connects us with things beneath mere surface arithmetic. It can comfort us. It can "arrest" us. It can be a cathartic experience. It is beyond databases and numbers and politics.

yeah mnaz, beyond databases and frankly immeasureable....art...as well as people are the wild card....think tanks try to predict what citizens will do, but the fat cats can not see past their bellys
