I look at my hand, the expanding wrinkles
like unmarked country roads, old veins
like baby snakes of mountain blue sunning
themselves on granite rock skin, spotted,
discolored, chapped, this hand is so
familiar to me, there is no other like it
no doubt it belongs to me, I know this hand
like the back of my hand

now I've done it.......taken a poem with potential
and killed it with my faux pun, bet you thought
I was going to say faux pas....well I didn't... but let me
add some puns are clever, some make you groan and
I must confess here and now I am a serial punaholic
on 7 decade binge, a pun-isher with a daily habit
some call me punster non gratis, and some call me
Punelope Cruz, and I'm not repundant, but in the end
I could really receive pun-ishment for this or even worse,

sent to the punitentiary

I must say you've taken puncil in hand demonstrated a punchant for punnmanship - at the risk of punderous puntification, I'd venture this to be the punnacle of the form,,, (Damn you Autocorrect, get out of the way!)
