Money hoarders

Post by Doreen Peri » Yesterday, 1:12 am

I’m not a big fan of money hoarders.
Not that I don’t like their forward thinking,
their future planning, their security dreaming,
it’s just that the thing is with all that
piled up bread, had they done
without the hoarding instead,
hundreds or thousands of kids would be fed and
street peeps mighta ended up in a bed in a house
that they loved, while the good Lord above
knows damn well the fucking hoarders wouldn’t
have lost a damn bit from their borders, they
woulda died happy with bellies so full and trips
‘round the world just ‘cause they could,
but millions of children and families would have
been better off, not nearly as needy if the shitty
damn hoarders had not been so greedy.

So, yeah I don’t like ‘em. This is today’s bitch.
It’s not that i hate a damn soul who is rich but
hoarding of money is awfully sick
when others have nothing.
It’s simple arithmetic.

amassing far more than you will ever need to the detriment of the masses is an deadly illness
the death of empathy is the birth of barbarism

the only thing
that I can be accused of hoarding
are books and rocks
oh and maybe
ukuleles
I'd rather learn from one bird how to sing than teach 10,000 stars how not to dance.
