Mark, Steve - thanks for taking note. It was just one of those moments I hadn't expected. My intent had been to sniff the air for smoke and determine if I needed to dress warmly or not. Those who carefully tend their flower beds get to see hummingbirds on a regular basis, not so much old bachelors with a handful of flowering plants left over from a long-ago marriage. It was pretty special in a small way.
