Freedom Buzz

Post by mnaz » June 18th, 2005, 2:34 pm

Greatness is mastery of the buzz.
Power lies in stolen language.
Fold history in on itself,
unleash new splines of logic....
pinhole jets, translucent sheets,
shot through rifts in final prophecy,
glimpsed from rock-bottom of a glacier....
fractured, peaceful light.
Free will encased in a blissful tomb.
Deify chapter and verse.
Pray to a collision of faiths.
Shed a full spectrum of light,
buried in its collapsed star.

God made war in the image of buzz.
God, the buzz.... allegiance to the buzz.
Neo-think-tanks barricade the chambers.
Lips move, sentences form,
in soul-less economy.
A bloodthirsty lie once counted for sin.
Now it counts for political currency.
Now it is publicly traded.

Funnel all questions into a chute.
Oppose the lie and oppose country.
Your trump card is synthetic patriotism,
hopped up on its own righteous fumes....
author of the twentieth-century bloodbath,
maker of the Armageddon cycle.

I am beaten down by the manifesto,
diminished by its subhuman empire,
exhausted by ends justify means,
numbed by that poverty of spirit,
left for dead by the evangelists.
I seethe under such deceit.
I have been exiled by the 51 percent.
I have no voice.

There was a time, close over my shoulder,
when militarized ideology made a morbid play,
when the last days were close at hand,
when charred corpses numbered in millions.
I took it as a nadir of human endeavor.
I took it as a God-sent referendum.
I pay homage to those who crushed Hitler.
Their Biblical sacrifice might have sealed it,
but their grim victory opened the floodgates.
To constellations of contracts and pundits,
every war is that defining moment.
Every war is the Allied victory for the Ages.
Every war is integral to the freedom formula.
So take a strong pull from the sacred elixir.
Feel the buzz start to take hold.

yeah...

I'm wearing my anger over recent events "on my sleeve",
I guess....

I suppose it had to be said, though....

The fire was most certainly there.

Glad I came in and read this.

Glad you didn't choose sleeveless this morning.
Everything is surreal and i'm still not sure which decision I'll make.

Doreen...

absolutely.

AQuestion....

This one is still simmering, I guess.
It has been building for awhile now....
it is still building. I will come back to it
at some point.
Thanks.

I don't hate the United States, or doubt its greatness.
But I loathe the direction it has taken recently,
in many ways and on many levels. It really affects me....
