No more will I roam

To many an eye,
I will tell my lie.
No more will I roam.

I pushed on through,
traveled to exhaustion,
to glimpse the far side of my illusion,
a sunlit slope somewhere beyond
my anointed end of the earth.

The myth will sustain me
in the coming days, much colder.
The strength of my resolve
grows much older.

No more will I roam.

I am so tempted to put a smiley here
If you think I believe that one
I feel the same way
I have nailed my shoes to the kitchen floor
I collect stuff these days, books computers furniture
I haunt the thrift shops searching for possesions to tie me down
Chains to hold me in place
random thoughts of getting in my car and just heading north south east or west, strong urge to roam in this age of inflated gasoline.

just can't sit on my hands when you write
thank you

Easier said than done, to roam no more, but eventually we all come to rest. "C"

Great juxtaposition of all the moving/dynamic images against the idea of not roaming. I enjoy how fluid it is, built around the myth of static existence. Cool read!
