I Am An Angry Woman

I am an angry woman.
They say anger can be good
if put to a constructive use.
That's not so easily understood.
How can my bitterness benefit anyone?
How can I build anything with this?
And it's sure not doing anything for me,
ripping me apart where things are amiss.
I am a sad woman,
eyes and heart full of tears
when I think of how my love
was taken with the years.
I am an older woman,
strawberry-blonde turning gray,
the resilient fire and spunk
long ago faded away.
I am a loveless woman,
betrayed one time too many,
sad songs and poetry
of heartache, I have plenty.
I am an angry woman.
