plugged into a cyber duct,
everyman's glut of truth for hire,
where i can't see the sky through twigs,
where bloggers chop forests of tall verbiage,
in paul bunyan checkerboard pundits,
under a screaming firehose of data,
and such large-headed analysts,
and curious left-right spin.

confusion is a storm
raging with doubt
always surrounded
by the calm
waiting patiently
just outside mind

where i can't see the sky through twigs,
where i can't see the forest for the trees,
reasoning in ever increasing complexities
inside a closed conceptual arena,
i craaack the cosmic egg with beak and claw
the light streams in golden and warm
through fear and torment i emerge
meek and shaken yet resilient
i find my way clear and hiss my first breath
