a rusted 1962 Mercury Comet hulk
grass skeletons pushed up through the asphalt

you could spend a lot of time here
tumbled weed and echo chambers
Chicago to LA in a lifetime or two
that desert neon might someday be worth something

...ya know I made that ride back in '63 as a 10 year old, my beat parents chasin' that california dream all the way to LA-LA land....sure was an adventure I'll never forget.....wired
