Love betrayed me
the moment it lay its wanton head
upon the lap of another
it fractured broke me

We lived in pain
lets not feign
serenity and purity
lived next door
the odor of our love
stinking up our home

We two were once intertwined
like vines in the darkness
our two spirits once joined
in mutual compassion

We once cried to the tune
of our bodies humming
your tears in my mouth
droplets of purity
splashing in my soul

My love for you
once transcended my body
so that I became nothingness
in my oneness for you

To love you is to live
in a constant state of pain
your love is a record
too scratched for fair ears

I struggled to find our pearls
in your mind
lost in peanut butter words
marmalade emotions

You cheated me out of time
I started falling
You told me lies
I began crawling

Years of devotion meaningless
swimming in your shallowness
I dived into your fears
Guided you into Fruition
But you have forgotten me
and so I stand crying
unworthy of your lying
How cruel you have become
so that I have grown numb
to possibilities with others
who offer more respect than you

My lips have forgotten
the velvet touch of romance
My body has lost
the imprint of seduction

We were young lovers
who fell out of each other
You no longer devoted
I, clinging to a you no longer existent
Your songs meant for another
So that I must forget the chorus
of your evolving heart

I loved you like I never will again
You have lost me
so that I won't ever return

Pinpoint the start of our downfall
and I will tell you why
You stopped caring, no more calls
and you weren't moved when I cried
