A Trace Of Petals (a song from my album 'Bagdaddio'

All across the mainland,
The princes and the royals stand.
Gazing wonders; hand in hand.
Make way for what may come.

Haunting faerie tales have told
Of kings and queens that ne'er grow old.
Some too timid, some too bold,
But none too far from home.

And maybe on a brighter day,
You might hear the teller say
That on a mountain far away...
(All stories take you there)

For on this wide enchanted hill;
Deep within the foggy chill;
Draped in robes, there stands a girl
With roses in her hair.

And never moving from that place,
A grin across her lovely face.
Looking close you'll find a trace
Of petals where you stand.

Hear her mournful song as she
Sings to you and sings to me,
And cries because she'll never be
Free to walk the land.

A flower's beauty lasts so long
As we have come and we have gone,
And never notice right or wrong,
But only what we gain.

So say a prayer for those who weep.
Pick a stem and petal keep.
For as the girls forever sleep,
The flowers still remain.

Hi Ryan. Welcome to the Studio! Enjoyed these lyrics. Can I hear this tune somewhere? Got an mp3 up on the net or something? ;)

Looking forward to reading more and listening, too.
