The Day Before Christmas

The day before Christmas
and Phar Lepht is warm -
the temperature a sunny 54F
with the skies clear and calm.
Word just in that Santa will
perform his gift giving
stripped down to his shorts,
his hair pulled back in a pony tail
but his beard will sail free
in the night skies...
Also heard that his reindeer
will be pardoned due to the heat
and he'll be using the local
Mule Deer that may be seen
from time to time in the area
Which is all quite proper
given the fact that after his
southerly pass, Santa will be
crossing the borders and
entering Mexico then on
through South America
where the summers are
now in full bloom.
A smart ol' feller, Santa
has asked in lieu of the
cookies he consumed up north
for some cold beer along
with some chips and salsa
during his gift dropping...
((My kinda guy!))
For myself and my own family
the three of us will celebrate
with a roasted chicken Sunday
to be put into a delicious brine
overnite and the meal will be
topped off with some sides,
and for Soo and myself -
a nice bottle of wine.
May those that read this
have a Merry Christmas
regardless of religious belief
for Santa is non-denominational
and always puts celebration
before anything else...
