oh well... maybe it could be Altamira (the caves), Evo Morales (the president of Bolivia), Rubén Blades (the politic & musician) and Ernesto Sábato (the writer). Tell me if you need more help!.

I cannot translate "dale", "fascinerosos", & "vos".....
"El Tunel" was Sabato's 1948 novel, about an artist obsessed with a woman married to a blind man. I'm not sure what the "El Tunel" of the eighties is, here.... I'm still thinking about the rest... Interesting write. I am curious.

hi again!
El túnel, Sobre héroes y tumbas and Abadón, el exterminador (novels); Yo y el universo, Hombres y engranajes, Heterodoxia, etc (essays). He wrote something in the last years, but I don´t remeber the title.
I read Sabato in the eighties and I never read it again (El túnel at High School -it´s in the High School canon till now, as some friends told me- , Sobre héroes y tumbas was at home, and the essays at the school library).
dale= it could be to go on or to insist with something
fascinerosos: mafiosos
vos: we don´t say "tú", we use "vos"
to ask directly to the source and to google are not antagonic, mnaz, don´t worry.

... and that later it's not said that the land is flat, ¿and they descended what?, ¿and the tunnels what? ... and we said yes, the river, that the railroad and the port and those things, but yes, it's not the caves of Altamira... and you give him that writer Sábato with his tunnel, the fires and the blind fascinerosos mafiosas . ..sí, already I know that was at the beginning of the eighties and that the tunnel of time and the gusto of the readers... and we speak of crying again looking at the television and of Evo Morales (Simon Bolivar de los indios siempre)and of Rubén Blades y la musica de ezperanzah... and that my family dog that no longer lives with me has glaucoma and is blind since two weeks ago, but it does not matter he knows to be handled well although he is a little more tranquil than usual... Pobrecito?, ¿pobrecito who?, ¿and you know what?, and yes, you are right at best, and the black clouds and the fresh air that makes autumn, ¿you saw?

I always like your translations jimbo! but the map has a mistake in the deep-south-east. And surprise: if you find it you can choose between peanuts, chocolate or french fries!.
Beautiful photo, I wonder where it was taken. It looks like Sierra de la Ventana or Tandil. It could be also Entre Ríos but the type of elevations in the horizon make me doubt about it.
