Remember: I don’t give a fuck for you—
and, gospel truth be told, I wish I could.
A twisted truth; to give a fuck allows
so many metaphors. But I don’t curse
and never match too well with literal;
so I don’t give a fuck for honesty
except to clarify: My perfect dove,
I save my Song of Solomon for love—
My love is one and one loved faithfully
beyond all queens and whores and clitoral
imaginations. Raged against perverse,
profane, unfaithful fucks—I yet arouse
the wish I could. But were it so, then would
you ever trust when You I love it true?
