white covered winter
pines surrender, needles fall
finally snow comes

slip sliding hills roll
stop? red oak moves
bob sledding away.

upturned branchs sway
thoughts to be seen but not heard
frozen in time lost

shattered silence,
youth roots, sprouts, grows, entangles. give up
they are awake.
