silence is better sometimes

Scattered lies
spread on an elegant table
served you well.
Painstakingly picking through
the first few
I recognized you.
Rose petal lies justified by -
"Don't hurt the girl with truth."
Well, I don't believe in it anymore.
It's gone the way of the golden goose
and those wretched "beans".
Hey, did you know that
fairytales come true?
They sit across from you
at dinner parties
and smile truthless grins.
When you let your guard down
which you most certainly do
splat, you get hit in the face with a pie
a love pie!
"Tweedledum and Tweedledee"
sometimes I laugh at my stupidity
sometimes I don't.
You always do.
Well, I was an easy mark.
Spare change was written on my face
indellibly fluorescent blue.
And that
that brings me back to silence...
it's better sometimes isn't it?

This piece basically just flowed from itself, as goofy as that may well sound. And I'm glad I didn't keep silent though I really think it is better to sometimes. I'm afraid I haven't found the neat line between silence and wasted blather.
