I swore I'd never let them hook me up to the machines.
I have a Living Will to insure against such things.
Yet I look at my feet and there is a tangle of wires.
I'm already hooked up to the machines.

If I fell from a leaping horse like Superman and broke my neck,
or totaled my dream car in a horrible wreck
don't attach me to the machines or insert the tubes
or freeze my body in a nitrogen cube.

Just use my parts, my brain or my heart or my corneal tissue
I won't be bothered by mortgages, debts or other litigal issues
Don't let me wait in a vegetable state for what's in all of our genes
Hook me up with a heroin drip but don't hook me to the machines.
