Blame Mother

Mother why did thou condemn me to life
bound in mortal flesh to suffer indifference
from those who matter most?
Flagrant is their abusive words heated
as if blown by bellows at close range
searing my soul in perpetual anguish.
I scream out my misery but no one hears or cares.

Confined in my fleshly prison I cannot soar with angels,
nor would they want or welcome my company,
a mere mortal waiting to be the main course for worms
rotting in the earth forgotten and alone.
But I welcome its refuge from cold insolent stares,
and the glares of the better than thou
who cast me as less than common.

Oh mother why did thy conceive such a bundle of pain
for never was their joy in my heart or soul.
Oh mother why go to all the trouble for the likes of me.
Did you never care that I was to be outcast
different in everyway from those of finer breeding.
Mother I regret you had no pity on my new pink flesh
or you would have smothered me in my crib.
So mother I have little pity on you
as I swing this fucking bat.

I not only do not know Spanish
I hardly know English

Blamed?
Have blamed?
Is there a feminine and masculine form of the word in Spanish?

A daughter's blame is not the same as a son's blame. A son's blame is so easy, so simple, and so straightforward.
A daughter’s blame is more subtle, runs deeper it curves and twists through meanings. I have watched three generations of the women in my family blame each other. My grandmother's excuse was she did not have a mother. . My mother and sister a matter of misunderstanding. Never too late for a daughter to feel her mother's love. It has taken me years to get my sister to see how much her mother loved her.
But that power struggle
My Mother Myself
Medusa's daughter

I better stop I feel a meaningless ramble coming on about Plath and her mother’s envy.
Sorry arcadia for butting in here. But mother daughter relationships are a hobby of mine. Yeah thanks is good. I like the epitaph Dustin Hoffman wants to put on his tombstone. "I could not have got here without my mother and father."

Sorry C just say Hi Jack.

"The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and...then he
Paid a visit to his brother, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door...and he looked inside
Father, yes son, I want to kill you
Mother...I want to..."

Not a crime of passion

I never realized to now what a poet he was.
He took a face from the ancient gallery
Everything so death these days. I surf the TV channels and it is all rotting bodies, murder scenes, autopsy scenes. Entertainment. Who needs art, who needs poetry, we have desublimation.
