Is frustration silent?
Invisible?
Divisible by two?
I know it's heavy
Stoops the shoulders
Makes my teardrops feel like boulders
When I cry
Is frustration
Silent
In it's suicide pact
With the mind?
Up in Tibet
Or so I've been told
It's spelled with an O
Ommmmmmmm
Ommmmmmmm my God
I spell it
A A A R R R G H H H
aaarrrghhh
aaarrrghhh
aaarrrghhh

Yes and no
Phenomeneutics in the Bacchae"Jennifer Dellner

"Thus, it is possible to suggest that to know Dionysos (the most terrible and the mildest, 859-861) is to encounter the illimitability of sensation, good or bad, a condition which for mortal beings can only be understood, ultimately, as pain."

O.k. I have just found that you must stay connect at both to submit your post. At any rate, here I go again, just hope I can remember what the hell I just lost.
First I liked. Interesting question
In it's suicide pact
With the mind?
Or is it meant as a statement?
I think the chant works better when it is sung, rather then written. Hope I came close to the original reply. Ah well.
argh.
love lots
Deb.

Thanks ST. Lucky Strikes eh? Well, I suppose a good smoke can soothe frustration, but only temporarily and at what cost. I prefer tears and aaarrrghhhing... more health friendly.
And I think frustration is divisible by two. Meaning if you have the kind support of another it is far easier to handle.
Ann, I suck at formatting poems and finding the proper line breaks for a decent read...I'm working on it.
To clarify, I meant it as a question to be read like this with the slashes just signifying audible pauses, if that makes any sense...
Is frustration/silent/in it's suicide pact/with the mind?
I intended for it to be read in a halting, stilted sort of way. In a doubting, doubtful kind of way.
Thanks for your comments. Sorry you lost your first post...now that's cause for a definite aaarrrghhh moment eh? Rather apropos considering the subject of this post.

But thanks for persevering and taking the time to retype, much appreciated!

Mousey on Ann's "Aagain" post I watched that for days, waiting for a poet to reply to it.
Ann, mice got such big ears, I wanted to reply to your Again poem but I was confused on so many levels, I had nothing to say, when I did reply it was more to mousey than to you.
Suicide yes I always hear that and Nietzsche never said that suicide helped many a woman through a tough night.
When I was crazy with the rotten rye bread I always seem to remember that it was chemicaly induced that it would pass. So I read a lot of Nietzsche. He said that suicide got many a man trough a tough nite.
Mousey, sexual frustration easily divided by two, I suppose every thing could be desublimated down to just sex. Those old R Crumb comic books were all little mr penis and mz vagina running around with the zeal of the organs for each other.
but I think there is frustration that maynot be divisible by two,
not sexual but something beyond sex, just the trill of living and dying, somethings
I would sure like to sit on my hands and listen to you poets discuss this. I am just a fly on the wall. Because Freud said where ever I go a poet has been there first.
Mousey the american way of suicide according to vonnegut is pall malls also the maker of lucky strikes. For me cigarettes were a death wish because of my self pity about no love life which I considered myself unworthy of.
a dam good joke on me
shut my mouth and listening

ARRRRGHHH
the sound of frustration
wrapped tightly around the throat
struggling to mouth the words
the accuracy of meaning
the message loud and clear
ARRRRGHHHH
the words meshed together
silence cracking all about
but sense is all non
and the frustration tightens
with each attempt of expression
ARRRRGHHHHH
the pain
the shortness of breath
the loss of clarity
mind whipped... beaten
the struggle soon ends
ARRRRGHHHHH
surrenders to thoughts
no longer demanding
but acceptance delivered
like pizza to the door
(no charge, m'am)
arrrrrre you sure?
i'm free now from it all
charge it to too little
to take on any time soon

Mousey: when read correctly it makes sense.
Forget about those line breaks, the breaks are breaks.
Truck- you think you confused, imagine being the writer. Written 08-07-00 Dark times those were. A constant struggle, but I fear some of my best work came at that time, not that anything I write is worth reading. Need to get back into the groove. Ah never mind I ramble way too much. Thanks anyway.
