Perhaps reality counts less than I
prepared myself to realize—but then,
reality provides no alibi
for fantasies my life allows. And when

phantasmic respiration
is all I breathe, what inspiration
more could me inspire?
Why not dwell in whims subjunctive?

Awake as often as I am, surprise
how vivid all my dreams of you—and just
to trust those: o what love I might enjoy,
much more than I prepared to realize.

I often laugh when people write like this, 'cause if it isn't done right it just becomes rather laughable.
