Bred of common origin
in kinship of ignorance
we blindly interract.
Traversing our spans in
vehicles of obtuse comprehension
we avoid our unknowing
with mundane diversions.
Varied careers, fears, tears
enhance the distraction,
mutating thoughts of substance
to mindless slayers of time.
Gorging the senses and
starving the principal
brings forth bloated hunger.
Few recognize the pangs.
Despite lives of acquiring
allotments wind down
and coffers are found
empty...

awesome piece. I really enjoy its sense of distant questioning, the perfect nonanxious presence. Both thought and form come across well.
And great piece in response, ST.
