Color Me With Stars

Post by iblieve » May 18th, 2006, 2:29 pm

I want to be black as night,
and sprinkled with distant points of light
living stars upon my skin.
At night I could blend in
with the universe
view the magical wonders
elves, faeries and angelic beings
too smart to commune with man.

Who knows,
maybe then God would speak to me,
or I could sneak up on him
discover his secrets
blackmail him into taking action,
clean up the mess he made
of man
then I could be myself again.

Yes, an attractive notion indeed. Beautifully written.

And tis nice you want to clean up the mess God made of man, but methinks man made his own mess and tends to want to play in it, toss gobs of shit. Yup, fiddle while the planet burns.

A whole array of excellent words here iblieve. Wonderful sentiments. Sounds to me like you took a little romp in the light.

Interesting that after all that you would choose to become just you again. Ya, it ain't so bad being ourselves, not really.

I love this. For me, it rings, truer than scripture.

I want to be black as night,
and sprinkled with distant points of light
I love those lines

Have you ever felt the tender indifference of the stars?

Man creates god in his image
Man blames god for his failures
Than he decides it is a woman's fault
And beats his wife out of the garden.
