dreaming of you and then waking.


II.

there is no one that can heal
the great wound
inflicted on or by
the healer.

it's like this
always;
the night is so cruel,
the daylight false.

the happiest memories are also
the saddest.
by the time i regained the courage to look
at your picture, it had begun to fade.


IV.

it has been said that for action
a great love
or a great hate is necessary,
and either is sufficient.

in the curved space
of the distorted soul,
like the circulation of a broken heart,
the two passions flow one into the other.
