johnny grab a helmet

Post by firsty » May 30th, 2006, 4:17 pm

(a war ballad)

johnny grab a helmet
this one fits ya fine
johnny grab a helmet
go on and get in line
johnny grab a helmet
any one will do
johnny grab a helmet
we got lotsa fun for you

johnny kiss your kids goodbye
theyll never see you no more
johnny kiss your wife goodbye
she can wait there at the door
johnny kiss your ma goodbye
she gave you such a wholesome name
johnny kiss your pa goodbye
he's got nothing left to blame

johnny write a song for me
talk about your duty, free
johnny write a song for me
sing about the things you see
johnny write a song for me
write about the rolling seas
johnny write a song for me
sing about the things you see

johnny watch your back out there
we'll hang ribbons and watch tv
johnny watch your back out there
we'll buy tshirts and big humvees
johnny watch your back out there
as our elders stutter and lie
johnny watch your back out there
we'll figure out later why you died

johnny grab a helmet
johnny kiss em all goodbye
johnny write a song for me
johnny watch your back out there

johnny watch your back out there
johnny watch your back out there
johnny watch your back out there
johnny watch your back out there
and knowing i'm so eager to fight cant make letting me in any easier.

this puts me in mind of a song currently on the air waves. It is the career that eventually kills. Yep this one is good; a lot of sad but true statements.

we train our children to be professional killers.... then we can't understand why the atrocities happen in war without end....

johnny grab your helmet
go boy
dough boy
johnny grab your helmet
let's bury it in the snow

johnny grab your helmet
they're fussin'
and fightin'
johnny grab your helmet
while your woman begs you
No!
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse
