I loved the sun so purely I could hate

I loved the sun so purely I could hate
it unapologetically and not
once question the abuse; I therefore smile.
I loved a star already in decline
when first its light cut colors to the east—
I’m not some dimwit fool astronomer.
I know the sun senesces in the face
of my dependency. Perhaps dark space
outruns some light my lovely lucifer
bright dangles from its height, but I at least
cannot—and so I love and love divine.
You blessed humble Love and infantile
approach to life, you suffer come your lot
to you as is (when I’d manipulate).

"I know the sun senesces in the face"

Yes age shows in the face, but it is our actions that tell our mental age.

love lots
so nice to see you back Joel.

For the love
of dying stars,

I deign
the Creator
with a smile;

undeserved,

perhaps...

My mirror
shatters,

before I
glimpse
the truth.
