The Junk Collector

I saw her wings
fall off
& watched you
try to glue them
back on
but they never
worked...
before or after
Still
I will wrestle
your demons
until they
swear allegiance
or change their address...
I am the martyr's daughter;
a fool for all your garbage.

isn't it funny how we try to fix things we think are broken to perform what we believe they should perform--though they never had, even in perfect condition?
great poem

Art
is
everywhere
our
eyes
wander
paths
are good
to stray from

"I will wrestle

these lines especially struck me. An torn between a mother protecting the child from the world, and a lover vowing to stand by his/her side to the bitter end, fighting beside them the demons of the emotions. I really love this write ~K.
love lots

Thank you very much. That is probably my favorite line that I have ever written so I am really glad you liked it!
