Due to a case
of extreme lockjaw,
I cannot speak.
I can only think.
ticker tape ad infinitum.
conceptions
mired in boggle.
It always
all turns to circles.
spinning madly,
into butter.
Like in Little Black Sambo,
the tigers running.
that banned book
I loved
as a child.

words tumble out of my mouth
and fall to the floor where I stand
never reaching your ears.
just a GO Hester
don't mean nothing
just goofin with it cause I liked it
its a ticker tape ad infitum scroll across this text box.
my words as slippery as butter..
thanks for posting Hester, a very helpful poem for me.
I had that lockjaw about 35 years ago. I feel it coming back.

interesting read hester. "It always all turns to circles." Like the wheel goes round and round. Just thoughts

If only the madly-spinning circles could wind up as butter....

the writing coach says"you have a voice"
you oviously love her, she has come through your creative process, what kind of jelly does she like, what does she look like?
time is important. who was in office
do you vote
does she care?
then i have a bill to pay after this advice
but i chose a writing coach, editor over a shrink because i was tired of my problems
at lkeast when you write you can have the same problems and different people can have other ones and they can come toegtehr in these little groups and have fun
take me to one of these groups she said
your poem is a group
of ideas, people and stepping back for me and observing with discernment the chaos of everyday living
being heard is as important as having a voice
dont cha think?

##'Happiness runs in a circular motion...happiness runs in a circle of friends (familiars, remembered or not)...ev'rybody is a part of ev'rything anyway....you can be happy if you let your Self be...you can be happy if you let your Self be....' - Donovan or Incredible String Band, can't remember anymore. ls. Nice write/right, hester prynne.

I thought this deserved a little more attention. I hope you don't mind. Just disregard if you do. Smile.

##We should all be so fortunate. The munis do not dissipate in idle words.
I can only think.
##Tune in, not create. Thoughts, like radio or tv waves are all around us all the time, even at this very moment. It's the frequency we tune into that brings the thoughts we recieve in. The important thing is do we reject them or dress them in words and deeds and thereby make them our own and determine, thereby, our own life's route. If man had capacity to create thought he could say what he is going to think next.
ticker tape ad infinitum.
##So, true. And all stimulated by certain sensory stimulii. Still the stimulii, still the flow ad infinitum.
conceptions
##Vastly different than perceptions.
mired in boggle.
##The only clarity lies beyond thought. The still mountain lake reflects truth brilliantly but when stones are cast in the ripples obscure true reflection. Thought is the lowest of all vibratory consciousness and acts mostly like a cat chasing its tail.
It always
all turns to circles.
##That lead...nowhere. So true.
spinning madly,
##And creating much madness. Look around...choose your own ground...
into butter.
##Which when consumed just brings more heaviness and not consumed turns rancid.
Like in Little Black Sambo,
the tigers running.

##I like the 'thoughtfulness' of this piece.

sometimes it is hard to figure out what to see

almost everyone looks on in awe as the trapeze artist spins from her jaws

I am walking
in the fallow
of hallow,
under a sickly
sun
that once
was a never,
or maybe it
was just
a river,
and forever
is when
I cannot see
myself again....
Thank you all so much for the luscious responses!
Lenny, thank you for indulging me!
