MEDITATIONS IN ISOLATION

Into the darkness I search for you
into the darkness
where others dare not go.

It is here I find refuge
it is here I find warmth
through the chill of aloneness.

Where has my heart gone?
where has my heart been?
I reach out to touch it...

it is not there

I feel it beating
I hear it beating...

it is not there.

The looking glass has
no reflection
I cannot see myself

The window has
no glass, black stone
stares at me

where have you gone
where can you be
I reach out to touch...

you are not there

I feel you near to me
I hear you speaking...

you are not there

Into the emptiness
I must go
to find you
to find me

to remember
what I know
to remember
what you taught me

where logic cannot go.

Beautiful Ann. I journey there often. The voiceless voice speaks with such crystal clarity. Most of us try to adjust the volume up in our efforts to 'hear' when the real trick is adjusting it down to hear that 'still soft voice within'.

Dive deep, the pearls really are there,

Thank you all for the kind words. Very encouraging. I often question my ability, my muse tends to get the better of me. lol.
