The Veil

Dressed as breeze She comes,
melancholy, soft, distant,
whispering
of Her home far away.
Garbed in river She softly sings
a familiar unknown tune.
In sunlit robes She dazzles,
forcing closed open eyes
to increase their vision.
Swaying, in gowns of sycamore,
Her slender limbs stand
gracefully revealed, reaching
always heavenward.
Mossy slippers bespeak Her humility
and Her veil...oh!...Her veil.
It rends the heart.
Why, One so finely dressed,
so high of estate
always calling for attention,
why
must She choose to wear so thick a veil?
lenny
melancholy, soft, distant,
whispering
of Her home far away.
Garbed in river She softly sings
a familiar unknown tune.
In sunlit robes She dazzles,
forcing closed open eyes
to increase their vision.
Swaying, in gowns of sycamore,
Her slender limbs stand
gracefully revealed, reaching
always heavenward.
Mossy slippers bespeak Her humility
and Her veil...oh!...Her veil.
It rends the heart.
Why, One so finely dressed,
so high of estate
always calling for attention,
why
must She choose to wear so thick a veil?
