~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Awoke this morn to
the song of my white
bird Zorma,
throaty sound that
came from a distant
space,
the cocatiels joined in
and flew in amazement,
after a bit of bamboo
flute exercise downstairs
Bahjan in C,
Mary Jo showed up
while my dog Zorba
was howlin' to the
song,
it's called Galaxy by
the way,
me performing with
the door flung open
at 7 am.,
a sight to see on old
Hollins Street here
in Baltimore,
I saw Samirah walkin'
to her bistro up the street
so i wailed a bit louder
and she smiled,
in search of a cuppa Joe
I returned to the kitchen
and found my beautiful
white bird forever asleep
on her cages floor.
R.I.P. my sweet singer.
She was the last pet left at casa sowebo that was here upon my arrival 4+ years ago, dealing with death, that's a for sure with pets, you gotta enjoy 'em while they're alive.
Zorma could sing a beautiful multi-layered
song that was enchanting, this mornings song was deeper and like
no other i had ever heard from her.......
