Gazer's.....cat people,
eyes go up & down,

no magic carpet ride,
more like a carousel,

fearsome animals,
tranquil beasts whirling
dervish around & around,

peace found in the
singular thought of the
"Nevermore",

while Willie shook they
grew defenseless,

tell tale hearts breathing
as they gazed upon the
cobblestone gutter where
he laid,

drunken song's sung at
night echoing from
bleeding walls,

while they slept in the
open coach
beneath the writer's roost,

the dreams parlayed the turn
of the gaze,

and then the sun arose
shining it's enlightened
rays upon the abode.
