Entomology and Etymology
Entomology and etymology.
Both have always
been to me, intriguing!
(Though, no, I have
no affinity for bugs,
I do, it's true,
have an affinity
for meaning.)
Trouble is,
I often get the two confused
and can't tell which is which!
So, often I've been forced
to eat my moths and
caterpillars, switch
my mode from syllables
to a crawling itch.
If I've confused you, too,
I know you'll tell me.
Willy ya?
I don't mean to beg
or ask you for
too much
or bitch
to know your
thoughts on this.
Don't be cilia.

The NEW YORKER only agrees on relatives.
For instance, if you were a cartoonist and graphic novelist like Art Spiegelman ( whom I admire), wouldn't you find it handy to have your wife as the cover editor of THE NEW YORKER?
Francoise Mouly.

p.s. You deserve every word of that praise, Madame D.

Dear Dor:
I send you ( and all) the following link, not because Enrico is a poet like you, but because his work has the whimsy, the ardor, the energy and the good humor and love ( with sometimes a delicate neurotic, inward-looking twist) that yours does.
Enrico Casarosa is a Pixar Studios animation artist whose creative energies overflow ( fortunately for us) into thousands of sketches, cartoons, comic stories, narratives and observations. His blog website can be found here:
http://enricocasarosa.com/wordpress.1/
Enrico carries the force of a hurricane made of several million jujubes. I have rarely seen so much energy in the service of probing Good. By which I mean EC is a force for good in the art world.
I also mention him because he has designed t-shirts for the 11th Annual SketchCrawl, a real 21st century event.

Here is the t-shirt site:

Enrico was one of my fellow "interview-ees" on Susan Henderson's blog this past summer.
