Satellite photos

Post by mnaz » October 28th, 2006, 4:29 am

it used to be enough to protect the gates,
to build walls higher than the last ones,
to fight off generations of hard-won inertia,
lest they be granted an echo.

the first photos from space went higher,
as unexpected in their time as irrelevant now.
and may the best religion win,
lest it be granted an echo.

The world has become so connected we are losing sight of what is right in front of us..family. War seems to be the only constant...but what belief are we fighting for this time. Just thoughts. It will most likely be something from space that ultimately distroys as, though man is doing a rather fine job of that right now. Just thoughts.

all this religion and manifest destiny.
all these armies primed to fight the holy fight.
all these wailing walls ascend.
all for the love of our god.
all to put it right at last.

satellite shots have perspective,
'tho nonlinear in all that curved space,
and peaceful cloud pillow laid to rest
over the loud crusade,
another riff,

amen.

a riff
a torn out page of time
a burned out
finger burned
wearied cry
worn down refrain
with not an end
in sight
until the riff to end all riffs
ignites

satellite imaging
so many truly insignificant blips on the screen of life...eh, wot? God love us.
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

still riffin', I guess....

Crashed, like a burning bush satellite.
God, how I beseech,
all of this manifest destiny,
all of these wailing walls,
all for the love of God.

It used to be enough to guard the gates,
to build them higher than the last,
to fight off the hard-won generations,
to bury the first photos from space,
lest they be granted an echo.

And a satellite has perspective,
'tho nonlinear in that curved space,
over its fleecy pillow wisps,
over the loud crusade,
over my dead body,

just another riff,
Amen.
