Poetry, etc.

Jesus never wrote poetry; he dictated it.
If you move at the speed of my TV for too long,
there's bound to be a problem.
Only now can I begin to understand the metaphor
of love and hangover, love of hangover,
of spry metaphors of how free i was
in a silky sheen of a swamp,
only now, just now.
It's not easy to write poetry
For one thing, most of it gets me to writin' more,
and I can't be seen with such a discredited pastime.
Now is not the time.
And the freeways go south,
South of north.
If you move at the speed of my TV for too long,
there's bound to be a problem.
Only now can I begin to understand the metaphor
of love and hangover, love of hangover,
of spry metaphors of how free i was
in a silky sheen of a swamp,
only now, just now.

and I can't be seen with such a discredited pastime.
Now is not the time.
And the freeways go south,
South of north.
