staying up late..

Post by mnaz » August 29th, 2004, 5:29 am

the whole thing is solved
by anyone wishing to solve it
by conjuring wild opposites
and ordering them to work together
or calling them equal

divine energy powers everything
even neurotransmitters bearing witness
seek transcendence and the answer is ready
though bringing it back is another matter
call it even.... everything is nothing

galaxies burn through sheets of black
between them, I am less than an electron
though not quite as fast or unstable
and if this wasn't quite bad enough,
the galaxies might also be an electron.

the divine requires eternal status
opening doors which horrify morality
a soldier of valor murders his divinity
while connecting with its eternity
morality never really stood a chance

" a soldier of valor murders his divinity"

Mnaz, this whole piece is very powerful. The dark light of truth shines on eternity, when it is resisted, ignored.
This my friend, is an irresistible poem, and I thank you for it....

thanks hest...

Sometimes I'm just fascinated with huge, intractable ideas of relativity...
everything and nothing.... worlds inside of worlds.... morality and
consciousness.... If "creation" is all just different eternal forms of the
same divine energy, then so are its motions. Where does that leave
judgments of "morality"? War is immoral.... but why?...

anyway, I hit on a few of these thoughts/impulses here, but I think the
flow and focus lagged a bit.... It was late and I was fading fast...
I appreciate your comments...

love this- can see why you couldnt sleep ha ha ha ha great poem
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
