Last angry poem

I'm not angry, just loud.
I'm not wise or overly proud.
I walk with a spring in my December trudge,
never one to hold a grudge,
or pin other cultures to the wall like stains,
throw dodge darts at the rain.

I'm not angry, just loud.
I'm not humble, a little too proud,
and this viewing will be my undoing,
this pain I keep renewing.
Been here for years, years to here,
my big loud, painful here.

If only it was the last angry poem
We would all be Unchained

Good work
it struck home for me.

There's no percentage in it.

Harper Magazine Index for November 2006

30% of americans....
There's no percentage in it.
Compared to what?

There's no percentage in being angry, unless you're at the top of the heap and find the view lacking, like... say, the recorded God of the Old Testament.

That God sent manna and got angry and violent and vindictive whenever He damn well felt like it. That much I see (and read). At least so far.

[A computer is] like an Old Testament god, with a lot of rules and no mercy.

Oh yeh..

love that passage.

What vexed me forever were the rules.

That, and lack of mercy.

Mercy me, the lack of mercy,

to say little of compassion.

I can't speak to it mark
never read the bible
well just the poetical stuff
they say the Greeks invented historical science, and the Hebrews invented historical religion.

I knew a guy in balitmore who used to stop taking his lithium once in a while he would usually wind up at the Phipps pyschiatric hospital at Johns Hopkins. I remembered something he said to me just before he checked in the last time. "The Hindu's built the temple, the Jews wired it for sound."

far gone mark, one more cupp of coffee, too wired to sleep
sit here and try to beat a bongo jitterbug, long haul ramble for a while.

Want to talk about something spooky?

cat states!

pretty stoned last night
lonely for the road
I sit here and get the feeling of motion
as if my mind merges into the internet
travelling down the info highway
cheaper than gas
sorry i rambled all over your last angry poem
