x-mas

the street was full of plastic moving reindeers and the tree killers were absorbing what bare land was left in the city, various deptartment stores were selling "things that would make people happy". In the large store called "best buy" she and her man wandered in to see wht kind of a store it was. there was a video game called the ps-3 that they played together, and she who was an anti-video game mom, had suddenly been bitten by an electronic bug. She was prepared to buy it for them, and the lady who was very sexually exciting at 17, told them that they did not ave any in stock, and that it was 699.00 for the game.
they continued to play, but now the X-mas dilema was on again. What could she get him for christmas?
it seemed that no matter what there was an endless surplus of debts and bills that did not ever really end. He worked sixty hours a week, and was garnished for three kids, two of them were coming to live with them. She was never sure how to handle life- with care was all she could muster. this was her graduating year- and after this life was going to get real- with a degree, seeking employment? or go on to graduate school?
What next?
She went to AA now for six years and found herself wondering why she did anything. The disease was still working out- she listened to a seventh step and began sweating. This was the fourth year of sundancing-All she can think of is pray hard. if you can walk you can dance. her freind got into a bad wreck, and has been in and out of the court room all year long-and now she has skin cancer.what now? her friend s daughter might come live with her too, and her new beautiful man. her kids were grown up, now suddenly she will have three. Fear is really awful, it takes the person like a hostage. How will she cope? the night before this man named Leon told his story, how he wet his pants in public and had to be walked home by a russian prostitute. The sopranos seems to save us every night. the ability to be straight up like that, no harm done. to be selfish and dirty like that and not have to shine like a bright spiritual light. responsability has a cost.
cell phone bills suck.
moments of real love welling up in her, a sweetness that she did not know she had, nd other moments when she just does not know how this is even happening.
christmas is just a buncha crap.she wanted to meet some muslims this week.jewish anybody else- american natives- let us all pray for world peace and healing, fucking tree killers ... where do they get off?
