Noir demons

Noir has a certain
chrome-coated splendor--
Chandler or Dash
slumming
could wield a type
of gin-soaked
something--
Big Sleep, at least
in prose amuses--
but most ghosts
of Lit Land know
not what the Noir code
really consists of...
what it consists of
apart from dames
skells mobster mollies
chromatic dissonance
vice dicks and gumshoe
hacks is
nada, really: but then
nada generally
does quite well
either at box office
or booze sloughs

As far as an inquiry into legal age for sex in Canada? Yeah I did: keep it legitimate: westside PBs motto. Yikes! That scare you, hypocrite? TK's not ashamed to admit that HE approves of legal prostitution (with some reservations--), and indeed journeys (with latex of course) to Nevada on occasion to, er, sample the wares (most of the gals are quite overpriced and tend to be ripe). My name is Totenkopf, and I am a ....whoremonger (and clean, above average size). Tour maybe this summer: Deutschland FKK clubs (also legal). Ja f-n Wohllllllll

Perhaps tho' as like real canadian you could define Noir, and offer critique of pome..................
noir:Of or relating to the film noir genre.
Of or relating to a genre of crime literature featuring tough, cynical characters and bleak settings.
Suggestive of danger or violence.--dictionary . com

i did not read all the link. and for me being gonzo:(dictionary . com)The term "Gonzo" is often misattributed to Hunter S. Thompson, but was in fact first used by Boston Globe reporter Bill Cardoso, who, after reading Thompson's The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved, proclaimed "That is pure Gonzo!" (According to Cardoso, 'Gonzo' is South Boston Irish slang describing the last man standing after a drinking marathon. However, this usage is more likely inspired by the 1960 hit song Gonzo by New Orleans R&B keyboardist James Booker.) Thompson would instigate events himself, often in a prankish or belligerent manner, and then document both his actions and those of others. The term has also come into (sometimes pejorative) use to describe journalism (or generally any writing) that is broadly in the vein of Thompson's writing, characterized by a drug-fueled stream of consciousness technique.

Gonzo also occurs when an author cannot remove himself from the subject he investigates. In some cases -- such as tornado chasing, wherein most documenting is done by the person driving the car and holding the camera -- the gonzo element is inherent. In most other cases, however, it is a deliberate and voluntary choice of the journalist, or the media firm for which he or she works. Thompson felt that objectivity in journalism was a myth. The term has now become a bona-fide style of writing that concerns itself with 'telling it like it is', not far from the New Journalism practiced by Tom Wolfe and Terry Southern. Nowadays Gonzo is very popular as a pornographic niche. John Stagliano is considered to have started the Gonzo pornography genre with his Buttman series of films. Ben Dover brought it to Europe, where Handyman sex introduced it in The Netherlands.

so I was wondering how you think I am gonzo--I am reporting on nothing but myself--and the dark things in my head. ok I get it--but how can you say I am not good on reporting on what is in my head?

I have read lots of noir novels and watched lots of the movies.

I get them--all i was saying that if you read or watch something that you think just misses the definition of "noir" then it is not noir. whats that mean? nothing--does not mean it is better or worse thaan anything--right.

I don't box well. I did mu tai for 2 months I enjoyed spareing.

not that in to prostitution. not against it.

did not get all the abreviations
or D.N.G.A.T.A. for short...

and it is not a bad job--I really am this horrible at writing bud--but you aint nothing special your self--we all are hypocrites TK--(just caught on to that one, and sorry for being a hypocrite.

Your writing is not that poor, ah guess. But as that old eloquent queer Tennessee Williams said years ago, why even bother continuing with a story that like goes into detail about some polysexual, infant cannibal De Sadean orgy in the first 2 or 3 pages? 10 pages of Justine and you got a clue into the workings of the Marquis pretty well. Better to work up to the Justine scenes, or JW Gacy fantasy or whatever.

The subjective element to gonzo thus often sort of self-destructs or becomes, well, wanking. Even like the endless brothel adventures of a LF Celine (ever sample his manga? whoa), not to say Kerouac or HST (Osiris bless him, whereever he be), become rather boring if not ugly and sinister after a while. Narcissism, of which most scribblers are guilty.

Decent pulp on the other hand--say Dashiell Hammett noir, or even PK Dick--is another matter. It's not confessional per se: we don't have to agonize with the writer. It's a construct, and a higher art than gonzo reporting, it seems. I do admire some of Didion's sort of gonzo-lite reports: read her shiiete from like late 60s where she denounces about the entire counterculture--from rockers to marxists to black panthers. She did HST even better than he could.

Ugh. Here we go again. Guess you just can't stop your rude behavior. Perhaps it's innate. Maybe it's who you are. Whatever.

You knew it wouldn't last long. And it won't.

Don't bother debating it with me. I can rarely understand a word you say. Plus, I'm not into debate.
