hey, i met doreen on another website. she encouraged me to submit a poem i started telling her ... so here goes, oh yes it is mine too, all mine, mwahahaha .... and i'm not vegan anymore, yum cream, cheese, yoghurt, fish ;-)

PLANT FOOD

I like curry,
I like curry with beans,
Tomatoes, spices, herbs and greens.
I like all food that keeps me clean.
A freshly squeezed cocktail of juice
From strawberries, melons and citrus fruits.

I don't like toxins in my system,
And now they're gone i don't miss them.
No salt, no chemicals, no animal fats,
Just plants, water and things like that.

I love food with funky flavours,
Funky colours and funky textures,
But only things i find in nature.
Processed food, to me, is unhealthy.
Anyway its just for the wealthy.
Cos whether its fleshy, vegan or veggie
Munch a bundle but belly is empty

So gimme fruits and vegetable roots,
Onions, potatoes and carrots for soups.
Lots of garlic for the blood and heart,
Plenty of ginger for digestive parts.
And when you have problems with the loo
Eat good food like saag aloo!

No animal or chemical in my pot,
No constipation, belly-ache or gut-rot.
Plants.
I like plants.
I like them a lot.

welcome ms

here, I'll show you the kitchen
you can cook all the curry you like

I'm all for soups

As for dietary prejudices
I'll eat anything that doesn't eat me first

one of my favourite poems starts with the lines....

what is this life if full of care
we have no time to stand and stare.

it kind of inspired me at around half past silly o'clock recently. i'm gonna look at the scrawlings sometime soon and post it, maybe, if i feel brave, soon ... ish ... hmm perhaps. no seriously i will, probably hehe.

anyway put the first line of the above poem into google and enjoy an amazing short rhyming poem. is it happy or sad? what do you think?

btw ... gentleman jack ? jack daniels?
tecate? huh? gimme a clue

that would be...

whiskey and beer, in general.

Toxins, no doubt, (though quite creative or even inventive at times).
Still though, they remain a scourge in general, and are not to be trusted.

i feel yo' fruits, yo' seeds & shoots--
i ain't fo' eatin' flesh 'n' meat 'n'
death--so lucky me to wealthy be.
but fruit alone 3 months had shone
a diet sweet and fresh and free
and costly, holier-than-thee;
those meals i still find test my will
to eat what nature nature shows--
all of nature i suppose--
of martyr fleshes, what of those?

thanks for stopping by and scrabbling with me Doreen ... and also Joel for encouragement too. so here goes ....

What's life worth here on Earth
When the things for which we yearn
Are kept from us at every turn,
And the knowledge that we crave
To keep us from an early grave
Is clean denied or swept away.

And is it true that life is cruel?
And Satan has a plan for fools?
So God evicts us, say's you're banned
As we watch time slip from our hands.
Or if we're lucky when we're caught
We realise, sadly, that time is short

What's life worth here on Earth
When we spend the years grieving
Reminiscing, slowly leaving
On the path that we've been paving
With good intentions and misbehaving.

I don't eat vegetarian.
He is too contrarian.

I don't eat vegan.
She is too septugenarian.

I eat pigs
and goats' kids.

Save the plants.
Eat metal.

Mineral water,
(please) waiter.

I eat beans and rice
worms and mice.

I eat shit
and smoke it too.

Think I'm joking?
That's true.

But what can i do?
F--- You.

Eat meat
and smoke plants.

I eat dirt
and feel hurt.

Free range chickens
is good for kickin.

But if you wants lickin
thats just frickin

awe some
bottle o rum.

Bubble gum
in your bum.

Rattle and hum
bum tum tum.
