the obvious challenge: when one is near enough to death, is the withholding of forgiveness greater cause for regret than forgiveness itself? but then, who could forgive hitler or stalin and pass peacefully from this life? shit, who could forgive jimmy carter's 55 mph speed limit for that matter(?)..
