she sang out
when the world fell in
collapsed
like broken limbs
a faltering stance
she sang
for reprieve, safety
and knowing of the end
ending
of
this
It was all that I had,
when she sang to me
only god could be so cruel
to force the suffering
and i'm no diety
simply
missing you
and i
scream
for the courage
to leave
because the quiet
is too deafening.
